There is something wildly romantic about the ever-changing light and mood around the mountains and forests surrounding Glenorchy. The sheer raw beauty of the landscape is what draws our adventurous couples to this place.
Glenorchy is 45 kilometers (28 miles) from Queenstown, which follows one of the most scenic roads in New Zealand to the head of the Lake Wakatipu. From here you can travel on dirt roads to Paradise, Routeburn, Kinloch, Greenstone, Rees Valley, Dart Valley, or helicopter to many remote alpine hideaways.
This place offers something unique and magical and will be the start of something amazing. It is the place to fall more in love as you join in marriage. An intimate place that will become special for you both as you start your journey on from here.
For us at Hitched in Paradise, it is an absolute honor to be part of your beautiful adventure together as we organise and capture all the emotions and details of that moment, which you will have to treasure and share for the rest of your lives.
Hitched in Paradise – NZ specialise in co-ordinating all you need for a small intimate wedding ceremony or elopement here at the head of the lake, Glenorchy.
All our elopement packages below include organising a local celebrant, a professional photographer, witnesses, complimentary champagne. Other packages include special details such as beautiful flowers, luxury picnic hamper, wedding cake, and helicopter transport.
We can also organise your accommodation in one of the head of the Lake lodges or exclusive holiday houses. On the day we can help organsie bridal gown and suit hire, hair and makeup prior to the ceremony, and in the evening a delicious candlelight celebratory dinner at your accommodation.
You can treat yourself to a massage prior to the ceremony and we also offer information and booking service on local activities in the area if you are keen to start your honeymoon here.
* You must obtain your marriage licence prior to your wedding day. It is estimated to take three days but we advise to get this at least two weeks in advance. Get more information on marriage licences here.
